Collecting this MK1 tomorrow. Not going to go mad with tuning stuff but will be upgrading the brakes, chambers and carbs. Will be keeping standard parts I take off so it can be revert it back to standard. Will post up some of my own photos over the weekend Will update the post as stuff happens.
Some photos I took at the weekend of the bikes condition after 40 years. Obviously cared for and has spent years in dry storage somewhere. On the shopping list is a chain, Motul transoil. To do list, Strip clean brake calipers, Grease up swingarm and suspension linkage bearings also steering bearings. Once that is done its take it for its first and last uk MOT and get it registered for the road. Other stuff to be done later is repair the alloy silencer sleeves, paint the side panels and a few paint repairs.
Been busy, fitted new chain, ultra sonic cleaned the carbs and set them up to factory spec and gave it a bit of a tune up and now running very nice. Gave it a bit of a polish up too came up quite good for original paint. First video is how it was with leaky carb and running quite rough.
