Shipping fee is about what I paid for the wheel! Thanks though I’ve used the serial number on this link to find similar suppliers. Looks like I can get the bearings though they are non standard and seem to attract a premium. I am just going to do a little research on which supplier is best placed.

Just rechecked my measurements and it seems I made a small error you are indeed correct Marcus diamiter of spindle is 15mm not 16mm (apologies) but it 'is 256mm's in length so you would need the bearings for that spindle fitting in your alloy wheel.
Just looked at my rear wheel coding and it is stamped J18x1.85 DOT on one side, and J.85x18 on the other, the spacer measurements are 37mm's Brake hub side and 22m's sprocket side. Sprocket side wheel hub bearing is an NTN and part number is 6202ZC3 brake wheel hub side bearing is a KOYO and part number is 6302Z as long as no one has messed with the inner circumference of the bearing seats in that wheel once these are fitted and you have the correct spacers you should be able to fit it.

    Thanks Cuda,

My wheels have the same coding as yours, however clearly the bearing sizes are different (to allow for the larger spindle).

    So strategy going forward is:

Sprocket cover and brake hubs are interchangeable between these wheels, I've tried this test fit already and doesnt seem to be an issue. So given the 17mm spindle doesnt fit the bike, I'll fit my original spindle, sprocket cover and brake hub (all with 15mm spindle size) to the new enkei wheel.

The new enkei wheels take the following bearings:
    Nachi 6203 (Sprocket side) - 40mm outside diameter - 17mm inside diamer - 12mm width
    Nachi 6303 (Brake Hub side) - 47mm outside diameter - 17mm inside diameter - 14mm width

To fit the original cover's and spindle i'll need to find bearings which match the outside diameters and widths above, but have a 15mm inside diameter.

It looks like @my67xr has found one already (thanks), which is the 47mm brake hub bearing:
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NSK-MIT...&_nkw=+B15-86D&_from=R40&rt=nc&LH_TitleDesc=0

I've also found the 40mm bearing on an aussie online shop:

    https://www.bearingshop.com.au/store/item/mr40152rb/bearingsballchromesteel/

Now that I know they exist, I am going to call around a couple of local bearing suppliers today to see if I can get them cheaper.

If all the above goes well, the only part i don't think i've considered is if the 15mm spacers will suit the enkei wheel. I need to measure the hub sizes and make sure the wheel will sit properly with the back sprocket in line with the front. Also i need to check that the 15mm centre spacer (which sits inside the wheel hub between the bearings) will fit the enkei wheel properly and not just rattle side to side giving no support to the bearings..

Test fit is fine, I’ve got the wheel sitting on the 15mm spindle just fine. The spacers don’t seem to be an issue and the sprocket is sitting in the right alignment. If anything I might need to shave 1 or 2mm off the centre spacer inside the wheel, I need to check once I pull the current bearings out.

Tensioner a bit out of place for now..

I would have thought those center spacers would have been the the exact same length tbh I mean the swingers on these bikes are as far as I know pretty much the exact same width allowing you to interchange the wheels from spoked to mags. I 'have noticed though when putting the wheel back that the chain tensioners can be a tight fit to slide back on place once the wheel and spacers are in there.

Definitely a tight fit with the tensioners on, I was thinking I wouldn’t get it on for a moment.

Yeah the centre spacer looks very close! Probably a match just don’t want to get ahead of myself again before I take out the current spacer haha whenever I take something apart on this bike there are so many issues that come up.

Back wheel is now fitted to the 15mm spindle. Had to pay up for the bearings listed above as none of the local bearing shops stocked them. Thanks all for your assistance.

No issues with the front wheel, that’s ready to go on now... though I’ve sent the seat away to be reupholstered so think I’ll take the chance to change the oil seals and dust boots on the front forks.. current covers have cracks so replacing the lot.

I’ve never done this so I expect to be back here with some questions. Any tips in advance are appreciated, I already bought the seals and covers a while back so will give it a go on Saturday.

I know I repeat myself, but if I was throwing away the airbox then I would throw the carbs with it. Then fit a pair of Mikuni VM28.

    New wheels fitted ✅
    Seat reupholstered and fitted ✅
Fork suspension cleaned and fitted with new oil seals ✅

Gotta say I love the look of the original enkei mags over the spoked wheels on this bike.
