Hi guys . Great forum have found lots of useful information.
Need help finding a regulator for my 95 Across.
Battery keeps discharging (battery is brand new ). Going to strip it down and test stator etc but from looking at what info I have seen, stator is normally long lasting.
My suzuki dealer says he can get an aftermarket for $220 or genuine for $330. Very pricy for a 20 year old bike with a learner on it.
Need a second hand one or aftermarket that will keep the minister for fun and finances happy.

    Thanks in advance

Easy one. Look at the numbers on the regulator and plug into the google. Or hit up ebay/aliexpress etc and search "across regulator" - you should be able to find a working one for a lot less than stealership prices.

Also check the teminals in any connections between the stator and the reg/rect for corrosion and arcing.
Sometimes the reg/rect's are earthed through the frame/subframe too.
Check any other earth points for corrosuon too.
Take the regulator off the frame where it's screwed on and sand the paint back to bare metal on the frame and reg where the come into contact.
Use some Dielectric grease on the bare metal to stop corrosion.
If the plug that plug's into the reg/rect is melted or discoloured that's a sign of a bad connection/ dirty terminal's.
Put some dielectric grease on all the terminal's in the plug's and socket's on the loom.
Most good car parts place's sell it.

If you find that you do need a new Reg/Rect post up a pic of your's including the plug/s, and also need the mounting bolt hole dimension's
I should be able to find you a new decent quality one for under $100, or a china made reg/rect for under $26 if you're on a tight budget and don't mind the 4 week wait lol.
