Just been for a ride in traffic and find that any quick stop results in the motor stalling, normal stop for lights or traffic is fine, sudden lights change requiring a quick stop or any other reason it stalls, which is a bit embarrassing.
Idle is set at about 1200rpm and the bike bike runs well in all other respects.
Any suggestions for a cure will be gratefully received .

Possible that your carby float height is a bit low, or pilot mixture screw setting is a bit lean.

I am assuming you are hitting the brakes and the front end dives, this changes the angle that the carby sits at, and also with the inertia all the fuel in the bowl will be sloshing forward until you come to a stop.

    Just a possibility.
