    Front sprocket cover is dry.
    There's a gasket there? I must've lost it under all that chain lube fling and crap i had under there. I'm thinking it's 'optional'. <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

    I doubt it has a gasket or would need one if it did, mine doesn’t. I think the seal you are talking about is the one for the gear selector shaft that comes out of the gearbox and attaches the gear lever. As far as I can see it is just for dust and something to bear on reducing gear box wear. Just undo the bolts and slide it off. Then get a nice big stick and a **** load of kero to get all the caked on dirt and chain lube out.

    it's got a gasket there. It's a paper one and you probably won't even notice it if you take off the cover and it doesn't stick to it.
    IMO the cover is only there to stop flicking crap and chain lube everywhere. And yeah it's dry.
