Hey guys, this is a bit of a longer term problem that I've been trying to diagnose with little success.

My speedo doesn't read any useful speeds, 90% of the time it sits there and doesn't move but randomly it will semi-work but usually bounces around at up to 10km/h variance.

The cable is tight in both the drive and gauge, the drive is secured to the wheel and fork tightly.

The cable itself is fine according to the mechanic who last saw it.

Any idea what the go is here?

@kiffsta pointed this out to me on my MC22.. Look in the back of the speedo... Is the slot square or is it rounded off? Your cable might be fine but but it is a plastic slot and because the cable is metal it will slowly round it out..

Take the cable off at the wheel and fit a drill to it and give it a spin. If it is turning as Tim said you will be able to hear it.
