hii iam facing same problem each 1 month approximatly my spark plugs are damaged will not give spark properly which lead to dead run in the engine i replace them the next month same thing happened when iam removing them iam recognaizing the spark plug colour is dark dark black i know its sign of incorrect combustion which means carbs needs balance but iam not sure what exactly i must do since the bike start normally at any time (cold or hot ) iam not facing flooding problems is this a sign that iam having a low amount of air in the combustion which means that i must increase the amount of air ??? coz i think if the fuel amount is the prob it might makes problmes like flooding or not turning on easily when its cold but iam facing none of those any one have an idea ?? is it right as iam thinking lack of air leading to blacken the sparks ? in addition ianm sure its not fromt he spark plugs coz iam bringing the best qualaties

The reason I asked, is that as the carbs wear they tend to run rich which result in problems when using the higher octane fuel. A few members have reported similar spark plug problems using the higher octane fuel.

Use the lower grade fuel and see if it helps.

    SPARK PLUGS

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM ON A 2KR MODEL, RUNNING RICH WITH SOOTY BLACK PLUGS, I CHANGED THE PLUGS FOR A HOTTER GRADE NGK CR7E, AND ALL WAS OK, JUST ROAD TEST AND CHECK PLUG COLOUR.
