    Hey Guys,

This is my munted 3LN1 that i feel i paid wayyy to much for, but i really just wanted it as i missed my old 2KR that i REALLY regret selling.

(This is what it looked like when i got it home, i didnt do this to it)

    View attachment 18394

Ive owned it for about a yearish but due to lack of work/funds its just sat.
But now i can actually get started on it :)

At the moment my goal is to just make it partially respectable and rideable so i can get it registered.
After that i will actually start on what i want to do with it.

When i finally decided to start looking at it properly/pulling it apart is when i noticed that the previous owner treated it like crap. Its been dropped a numerous amount of times and been hacked/dodged up horribly.

Soo, the "get it done now" short list is:

    - Fork Seals (Parts/Oil Ordered)
    - Oil Change (Parts/Oil Ordered)
    - Fuel Pump (Ordered)
    - Rear Disc + Pads
    - Battery
    - Rear Plastics + Subframe + Bolt-ons
    - Front Cowling/Fairing + Screen
    - Some sort of muffler/exhaust setup
    - Mirrors + Indicators

And im sourcing everything online, basically on ebay. Ive found a wreckers in Melbourne that has the plastics and should be ordering them this week :)

All i have basically done is pull the stupid Ducati Ductail off it and all the other fairings to see what i need to do, and cleaned alot of it up. The previous owner decided to go at the subframe with a grinder, im assuming to fit the ductail.

The fuel system is rooted with multiple un-needed joins and a $15 made in china fuel pump that was leaking like a sif. So that was the first stuff i have ordered. So i cant even get it running again atm haha

Ive also replaced the cheese cutter rear tyre with a Pirelli Sport Demon 140/70 to match the front.

And im pretty sure they replaced the chain/sprockets with a 520 so that will be replaced pretty soon as well.

Now heres some basic progress shots from when ive had time to work on it.

    pic31_4.jpg
    pic31_8.jpg

Anddd this is how it is sitting today. Just chucked the rear wheel back on after finally getting it back with the new tread. So i can move it again haha
    pic31_7.jpg
    pic31_2.jpg

    pic31_3.jpg

The VIN and Compliance if anyone is curious about what specifically it is :)

    pic31_5.jpg

And a couple of pics i found of my old 2KR i rebuilt years ago that i still miss

And thats about it at this stage, and now im going to hunt on ebay/online for more parts so they turn up after my work week.

Actually, if anyone could recommend a good battery and a good place to grab good quality Pads and a Disc id be very grateful! Cheers

Would i be right in assuming the FZR 250 and FZR 400 run the same discs?

    Thanks mate :thumb_ups:

According to Metalgear the FZR 250 and The 400 run the exact same brakes.

The only difference is they run different front brake pads.
Other than that, the rear discs and parts are the same and the front discs are the same.
Same part numbers and everything :)

I got a $40 rear disc of aliexpress, apart from being slightly off centre (talking about 1mm at most) and it's been fine.

Can also get pistons, rings, and little ends as a kit if you feel like redoing the top end. I stick to genuine head and base gaskets thought.

I just got a trade account with MetalGear so il buy all my brakes and sprockets etc through them i reckon.

Will more than likely be rebuilding an engine though to replace the one thats in it at some point.
Thats if the bloke that has the roller bloody replies to me :(

I did metalgear discs and pads on my Ninja 250R with HEL braided lines from the USA. Brakes were so good I could lock up both wheels on a dime. The front was not so good after I lowsided the ninja on the right, think it stuffed the master cylinder.

Soooooooooooo whilst trying to find parts for my rat fzr, someone responded to my add letting me know he had what i worked out to be a 3LN3 for sale for 1500 firm. Ended up with him delivering the bike and accepting 1100 as today is my 25th birthday so, fuckit :p Its registered and running. Though as far as i can tell it needs the Cam Chain Tensioner done as well as some general maintenence. As well as probably a Ebay Fairing kit as they are worse for wear.
Should probably start a new thread for this one, but here are some pics anyway :)

It also has what i think is a "D.I.D" slip on exhaust? cant find anything about it??? 20160216_225050.jpg 20160216_225035.jpg 20160216_225040.jpg
