I'm thinking the carbs might need syncing since I only bench synced them and the RHS cylinder is a bit smokey.

The ol' NSR gives a fair bit of kickback as well. Any ideas on how to prevent this? Higher heat range on the plug?

Hotter plug wont make any difference to kickback on starting. Suggest you kick harder!
I would be asking myself why one pipe is not smoking the same as the other.

That left cyl is looking normal, check the right side for oil mix, that's lean, either oil fuel mix (oil pump) or air fuel mix (carb setting)

Hmmm, the only thing I can think of which might help is the timing is a tad off. Sounds alright once it's going though. I think I might get those flywheel offset keys from Tyga one day.

Yeah, I might run it with 32:1 again and see how much oil it spits out.

If your running pre mix then it must be a lean carby

Could be leaking fuel out of carbs. Float valve etc.

Put water and oil in the 250rr, thought about working on the 919, talked to a buddy about getting my airbox back. I thought he mailed it 3 days ago from 180 miles away but found out it's still sitting at his house. I'm thinking I'll be making a trip tomorrow. All I really have left to do is hook up the carbs and gas tank, bleed front/rear brakes, throw on body work and ride so I'm kinda anxious to get done. It's been months without my screamer and boy do I miss it.
