bugger mate, sorry to hear, any crash you can hobble away from is a good one, its the ambulance ride or the ones you dont rememeber that suck. I dont have any fizzer parts at the moment, have you made a list of what you need ?
bummer mate ..... good to see youre reasonably ok ..... better stick to going in a straight line at the drags that damage is exactly wat mine has from the PO
Bad luck Blokey. At least you're okay and the bike damage is cosmetic. You made a good decision standing the bike up and not trying to take the corner. Damage and injury would have been much worse. Funny how your survival instincts kick in when your brain decides this is a lost cause. All happens pretty much automatically. Your mate gave you good advice...never, NEVER hang on to the bike. Get well and get riding.
Well I did get picked up by the ambos and taken to hospital. X-rays confirmed it was fractured. I haven't looked at the bike enough to really asses what exactly I need. But I'm pretty sure I have most of what I need in my stockpiled spares. It's mostly the fairing. But I think during its downtime, it may be time to get the carbs back to where they were, and do the cam chain. Which I will probably need help with.
Sorry to hear about the crash but glad to see you're relatively unscathed. Bikes and parts can always be replaced, knuckles and flesh not so much! Thanks for posting this Revolver, it's a timely reminder to always remember the safety gear so that we can live to ride another day!!
Sounds like exactly what I did on the Ninja here in Tamworth. Decreasing radius corner, less than ideal camber, and bumpy to boot. Although it was daytime when I stacked it. Come in too hot, realise you're not going to make it, and wash off as much speed as possible before your front wheel hits the dirt. ABS might have saved you/me in this situation. You shouldn't need to replace the front subframe unless it's really twisted out of shape. Usually it's just the bits that the mirrors hang off bend inwards.
It was pretty mangled from a rollover previously and I managed to get it back. But always noticed one side more flatter than the other. I've been told it's the first thing to be replaced when such a crash happens. It's high time it was replaced.
Sorry to hear, by the sound of it.....could have been far worse. On a happier note, pleased your injuries aren't to bad. Get well soon mate......the bike can be fixed.
