as usual all the bigger bikes get all the attention customizable parts and glory from the manufacturers. does anyone know a company or a DIY improvise method for buying or making good look alike shorty levers for the yamaha fzr 250 3ln. even if someones done it on a similar bike eg. fzr 400, cbr250, zxr250 i know i can just cut it down and sand it up if i want but shorty's should also be adjustable and i'd also lose the round knob on the end of the lever. just wondering if someones accidentally come across a pair which by fluke chance fits the mighty fizzer.
im not holding my breath but no harm in asking aye.

just look for decent pushbike ones.
or a lot of motoX bikes have shorties.
i bent the end inch or two on mine into a curve forwards with a pipe and pliars, looks a bit better. and i find it easter on the hands cos it means i only have to use a couple of fingers. (and most of mine have been broken lots so dont bend properly. lol)

thanks for the suggestions deadbirds never thought of them will be getting onto it straight away.
just curious, what do you mean by easier on the hands. from what i understand from what you said you haven't cut yours down you've just bent the end (an inch or two) forward. or did you mean you cut an inch or two off the end and then bent the new end forward, either way how does this make it easier on your hands?
your pulling from roughly the same position (force point) and the mounting bolt (fulcrum point) of the lever hasn't changed its distance in relation to the piston (load) which acts on the fluid in the brake lines.
i thought the more fingers you use the easier, just think of those hand grip squeezy things for grip strengthening. if you use one finger its hard but if you use all fingers its much easier.
or maybe i completely misunderstood you and should shut up now and let you respond. <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
