For those that are interested - Rossi was on the top of the podium again last night. Gibernau 2nd, mlandri 3rd (and not too far behind checa in 4th).

3 Yammies in teh top 4...

YES GO ROSSI GO, whats the points table like as we dont get to watch the races till 1 month later. Is Rossi still second or first. Its good to see Yamaha is going strong with out any major problems. What makes it so awesome is that this season is the first one where Rossi is on a Yamaha and I know he did ride them in testing but you dont normally get riders winning most of the season when it is the first season on a totally new and diffrent bike.

100% support for Rossi from Yamahaforever.com

2 Weeks ago Rossi and Gibernau were tied going into the Rio GP, both on 126 points. In that race, they both fell and thus were left leading with 126. Biaggi was just beaten by Tamada, so failed to gain full points to close in on the lead just that little bit more.

This week - German GP - Rossi is alone in first (came fourth in the race). Biaggi one point behind (won the race). Gibernau fell (second time in a row) yesterday. Leaving the current points as:

    # Rossi 139
    # Biaggi 138
    # Gibernau 126
    # Barros 79
    # Edwards 75
    # Hayden 70
    # Checa 62
    # Melandri 57
    # Capirossi 55
    # Tamada 54

Had Tamada let Biaggi win the previous race (they are team-mates after all) then Biaggi would be in the lead now...

    Cheers for that update Boz,

I bet Biaggi is pissed off and Tamada should have let Biaggi win as Tamada is less likly to win the championship. It sure is turning out to be a close championship. Just goes to show that Yamaha can play and bet the "allmighty" Honduh.

The last race was excellent to watch, and it shows that Honda is becoming fallable without Rossi leading the way. If you look at the top 5 of the starting grid:
    1. Max Biaggi ITA Camel Honda 1min 22.756 secs
    2. Valentino Rossi ITA Gauloises Fortuna Yamaha 1min 22.84 secs
    3. Kenny Roberts USA Team Suzuki 1min 22.961 secs
    4. Sete Gibernau SPA Telefonica Movistar Honda 1min 22.969 secs
    5. Shinya Nakano JPN Fuchs Kawasaki 1min 23.009 secs

So 2 hondas, a yammie, one suzuki, and even a kwaka! This is really different compared to last year when it was lucky if anything but a honda broke the top 5 - with the exception of the odd ducati. The championship is really openning up a lot more! The remaining races should prove to be quite competitive from the entire field!

I can't wait 7 more days and the Action is back in town.......

Should be a great race as this is where Bayliss last year had some magic duels with Rossi

    my dream finish would be

    Rossi
    Bayliss
    Melandri
    Biaggi

that'd just be a awesome finish classic and awesome

    I love motorcycle racing

    Yeahhhh Hahhhh
