QLD Traffic Splitting

    I have seen on the QLD transport site the new law which states
    "Overtaking to the left
    A driver may now overtake to the left of a vehicle if the vehicle is stationary and can be safely overtaken to the left."
    To my understanding this means traffic splitting though traffic(as long its to the left) which is stationary is legal, i have also herd stories about cops saying if another cop books you for it take it to court cuz the law is misleading

    You've always been able to overtake on the left providing the vehicle is turning right into a street. But this is new, and interesting, but i wonder what the intention is....

    Sounds risky.
