    Hi,

I need to make some engine adapters for an engine transplant. I would like to make aluminium or steel plates and would like to get these cut to a template, probably plasma cut. Does anyone deal with / know of a reasonable engineering job shop who would be able to do this?

Thanks for any info you have.

Most are able to won't be cheap thou looking at around 120-200 bucks a hour if you have no drawings or program's!
Best to pick a small firm who have the time rather than a large one as cost will sky rocket! In brisbane there are a few caboulture engineering, Ada engineering, n&p engineering I would recommend n&p nice guys they have a set up and all they guys are into engines.
    I use to work there

    Hi,

Thanks for those engineering co. names. I will be looking into this. I have templates and am planning to make CAD or 2D templates. They are pretty basic designs (single cylinder engine into single cylinder frame).

Would N & P be able to turn some custom bronze swing-arm bushings?

    Thanks,

    Ian B.

Thanks Scotchy. Am working on the templates now. I will see how they work out and will get back to you re. your laser cut guys. BTW, can they do machining such as lathing bronze swingarm bushings?

    Thanks.

I'm not sure if they do machining, but I have a local company that does this kind of thing.

    Hi,

Sorry to beat a dead horse, but I need to go ahead and get some custom bronze swing-arm bushings made (needle bearings aren't going to work). Anyone have any recommendations?

    Thanks,

    Ian B.
