He will still be challenging for the top spot, if not winning it outright. I do think the honda's (as of this past year) were a stronger bike than all others - with the exception perhaps being ducati. But with Rossi assisting in the development of the Yam it could become the dominant bike I think.

    So my predictions are:
If Rossi can focus the development of the bike with good quick results: a winner without doubt.

If the development of the bike is not going as quickly as would be liked: in the race for the title along with giberneau and perhaps biaggi. (2005 will then be Rossi's year if this is the case)

    Rossi

I do agree with you to some extent. The problem I have is that the Honda with its V5 engine and awesome suspension and brakes are so more advanced than Yamaha. That Yamaha is going to have to have such a large jump in there motorcycle design that there may not be anough time to get it all working.

I understand that Rossi comes with all his helpers but still he is use to a Honda and the way Honda works. It's not just going to be learning to ride a new and totally diffrent bike for Rossi it will also be learning to talk and use feed back to the Yamaha engineers.

Also Honda uses high tech computer with sensors all over the Honda motorcycle which Yamaha is still to catch up with.

I gess what im trying to say is that in this day of MotoGP racing you have to have all the Hi Tech gear or you just wont be up there. We all wish yamaha was up there but the Ducatis, Hondas and even somtimes the Aprilla are just suck well funded teams that Yamaha has to up the game.

I hope that Yamaha can get it all together and get things sorted with Rossi but only time will tell.
