    hey guys

what's the 3 important things for the bike to start?

    1. spark - how do i check whether it has got spark or not?
    - but i jz replaced 4 new spark plugs into it. but it was a bit hard to take out the spark plug cause the bike has been sitting for too....too long....
    2. fuel - checked that. there is fuel in the tank and it does flow into the carbys
    3. don't know????

any help is much appreciated. thanks

1st place a spark plug in the plug cap and earth it on the motor press the starter see if theres a spark at the plug
make sure they is no fuel or fuel vapour near you or on the bike we not want a bbq bike or person
    remember fuel burns  ;) :o :o

how long has the fuel been in the bike

if bike been sat carbs will need to be stripped and cleaned fresh fuel then it should run if no machanical engine problems if you have a spark at the correct time that is make sure you got the right plug leads on the right plug too

    hope this helps

hopefully i won't stuff the carbys up.

Best to change plugs one at a time so you don't mix up the leads if you have mixed them up it will spark without being in the compression part of the stroke and not start. May need to check the workshop manual for the correct order.

there is a tool for testing spark with plug in position but putting a plug in the lead and earthing the plug will give you a good idea if there is a problem.

There could be any number of switches stopping spark if there is something not in the correct position EG stand down clutch out in gear etc. or a faulty switch.

air filter dirty will give you problems as well.
Any fire needs 3 things Fuel, air and ignition source.
