Hey guys, im in the process of welding a 2005 R1 tail to my 90' GSXR 1100 streetfighter project. Anyway i'm thinking that i may as well upgrade my FZR tail while i'm at it. We've established tht eh R1 and 6's etc are to big for the tiny fzr so can someone recommend a sweet looking 250 or 400 tail that won't look out of place, may upgrade the front too whilst i'm at it so any ideas for the front . Cheers guys.
aprillia RS tail would make it look pretty mean or one of those after market CBR250 ones would brobably do the trick
i was going to say fireblade. thats what koma put on his bike, so if u want to see what it would look like there are a few photos floating around.
If you can get your hands on an Aprilia RS250 tail end, i reckon that would be the bee's knees for the FZR250! I've seen it done on a CBR250R (MC19) and it looked really unique. Just need a paint job or some vinyl to blend the colour scheme and make it look like it all fits together.
here is some undercover survalance from deep behind enemy lines HAHA (cbr250.com) NSR tail conversion and here is th TYGA tail it looks like it would fit well in the FZR witha few mods
Hehe, yeah i've seen quite a few of those projects over the years. If your in/around Melbourne CBD there's actually a finished CBR250RR with the TYGA kit and it looks absolutely stonking! Apparently Honda Australia have seen it and grumbled that it looked so good... and they had no means of cashing in on it. PS. If you were REALLY keen you could use the stock subframe, go get some modellers foam (also known as florists foam) and cut it, mould it and stick it onto the subframe to use as a base for fibreglassing over it. Would be quite a project but would leave you with a magnificent one of a kind bike! Imagine working with a brand new R6 tail piece and sculpting a properly scaled one onto the tail end of the FZR250.
