Hey Brent Welcome to the forum. Nice to have you on board, we look forward to some photos of your Megelli. Sounds like you are burning up the bitumen, enjoy the ride. Phil
Hi Guys, I live in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne and currently looking for a cheap project bike. I had an Across back in 01 but sold the bike and let my permit lapse before getting my license Hoping to find something fun, and importantly cheap - damn mortgages Justin
Hey Crspy Welcome to the forum, good luick with the bike search, any idea as to what sort of bike your chasing ? There are a few Melbourne members on here who might be able to help with your search. thanks Chris
Hi Kiffsta, Not overly fussed, just some kind of old roadbike probably, and given my budget, probably a non-runner I did find an Across in need of work for $200, but not having a trailer prevented me from doing anything about it Watching a couple of bikes on ebay at the moment - will see how they go Justin
hey Justin $200 for an Across, thats a bargain, if you do score it, I have heaps of Across parts in the shed  cheers Chris
Nah, I missed out It was snapped up pretty quick from gumtree. My old across was a great bike, so much fun
My name is Dean and I ride a cbr250r. I have had it for a couple of years and love getting on it and cruising. I currently have it in pieces to replace some bearings, polish some of the alloy, remake the exhaust and paint the fairings. Make the old girl feel good again. My other love is rotaries and up until this week I had 3 rx7's. 2 were sold on Tuesday and the last one is now reluctantly for sale. But I will get another when the time is right. I joined the forum because of kiffsta. I bought some items from him off eBay and he suggested I signed up. I used to frequent the cbr250 forum but when it changed over I haven't been back much. I look forward to having my bike finished and back out on the blacktop and meeting some new people from this forum. Cheers Dean
hey Dean welcome to the forum mate, glad your happy with the tank and frame, would be great to see the progress of your rebuild. As for rotaries, it must be hard to part with yours, I have a mate with a Mazda Comos with a twin turbo 20B  cheers Chris
Hi all, Sorry for the delay but here is the picture of my Little yellow baby. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/16/fzr250.jpg/
Hey Dean With a Honda CBR250R you simply can't go wrong. Would like to see some photos of your restoration, the tank was a good one. Anyhow, welcome to the forum and hope to catch you on a ride sometime soon. Cheers Phil
Good Day All, I'm a new to this group. My current rides are a 2004 Husqvarna SM450R, a 2005 Honda CBR1000RR and a project bike which is a 1983 Suzuki RG250. I picked up the frame in Pomona and a whole lot of spares from Phil early in January. Thanks Slender for your help in getting started. Regards Roy
Hi Roy Good to hear from you and welcome to the forum. Haven't forgotten the lock set, get that sorted soon. How is the progress with the RG, would be great to see some photos if you get a chance. Again, welcome Phil
Hey Roy welcome. Glad to see you worked it all out. Thats quite the collection of bikes you have.
Hi Phil & Slender I have stripped the RG250 down to a rolling frame and made a list of what is missing or needs replacing so far. I havn't opened the motor to see what needs to done but have noticed the magneto is missing (ouch ). Once I have worked out my strategy I will post it as a project. I have attached two photos of the RG250 and will put some photos of the other two bikes under "so what do you ride" Cheers Roy
Hey Roy That looks quite tidy, whats the plan, original resto or go for the cafe racer look ? Chris from Netbikes did an early RG into a Cafe job and it looked killer - check this link http://auction.netbikes.com.au/vjmw.php?dir=rg250&page=rg250 Cheers Chris
