Hi all, new member from Brisbane

Previously owned a ridiculously reliable 1994 zzr250 with 86000 or so km on it until about a week ago.

3 weeks ago I rode it from Brisbane to Townsville only stopping for fuel (with the help of a ghetto homemade throttle lock)

When it came time for me to go back to Brisbane and go back to work, I wasn't about to do that miserable 1400km ride again on my bike which was now even more thrashed, so I sold it and flew back and quickly got my hands on a VERY cheap zx2r which I'm now in the process of fixing up, found a lot of the stuff on here very helpful for that

Anyway I'm glad to be a part of this, expect many posts begging for help with my new bike in the near future :)

While you have it apart, you should relocate the R/R. They are prone to cooking in that location.

Will certainly do, then I can feel better about removing those ridiculous air hoses on the gas tank too :)

Was it off a guy in bray park? I paid 500 to get the bike and have him deliver it to my house 25km away too, he'd done some shameful things to the wiring but I've resolved most of it now,

Might be hitting you up for that bracket soon too, I've got 8 spare carbs in questionable condition

Thanks heaps, the ride was painful (nothing but wind noise and sore nuts from 2am to 8pm) and I'm probably infertile now because of it but it was worth it haha
Also the vin suggests that the frame is a C, seems like a bit of a Frankenstein bike though so who knows. Hopefully the engine is C as well

That'd be excellent, its missing a lot of little things like the front brake reservoir lid, the bit of plastic that the instruments go into..
Oh and the entire radiator assembly

Will have to get in touch soon, wasn't keen on having the wreckers charge me $70 for each random bit I don't have haha

I'll have a look at the engine when I get home and tell you guys just how haggard my bike really is

Think I could come around for that radiator tomorrow? Would like to have a look at those brackets and stuff too
