    Hi,

Have an mc22 in route from Japan. Will be a while before I have it safely home but already collecting parts for maintenance overhaul. Plan to keep it stock and with as many original OEM parts as possible. Xcite and CMS have been awesome sources. Expect to have it delivered this fall or winter.

If the Frame is MC22-1002XXX does this mean its a
    CBR250RR MC22 1990 (L) JAPAN ?

@maelstrom has around 15,000 miles. Hoping since its not super low milage it will run well however it will need an overhaul either way I am sure.

@jmw76 I though those were standard. I have seen them on many bikes. If not are the plastic ones standard? Just figured out these are from the mc51 I think.

    Thanks
    Adam

prepare yourself for some surprises when it arrives.

@inchoate Yeah I am trying my best to prepare. As far as NC on titling I may have it titled in vermont through the importer I used. And eventually transfer the title to NC.

That's definitely one way to do it. In my experience it's better to have your importer do that stuff because they understand the bureaucracy and how to navigate it.

@AdamKareem87 as far as I know the standard heel guards are the plastic ones. Both my 92 and 98 models have plastic heel guards. I suspect that yours are either aftermarket or off some other model.
I would not mind finding some though. They look great and are likely to be much more robust than the plastic ones that get pretty shabby with age.

    Peter.

@jmw76 I think they are from the mc51 cbr250 but not certain. Seems many replace the plastic with these now on mc22s. Many auctions I saw had them which is why I thought it may have been oem.

@ruckusman yeah just trying to keep myself busy and stockpile parts for the future. haha

@thebeefsalad Hi! Glad to see some locals (relatively) on here! I know a few mc22 owners in the US but not many.
