Hey everyone, so about a year ago i bought an Australian delivered mc22 tri color, it was really clean and engine sounded amazing as well as healthy to my knowledge. After around 6 months of owning it and a mixture of watching bikelife and rossie videos i thought i was ready for something more powerful. I had a friend of mine who always had an eye for my bike and said he will buy it off me if i ever wanted to sell it. Me the dickhead i am agreed, so my mate ended selling his bike and bought mine.

Long story short, after months of searching found a clean 600rr of a retired cop! I'm glad i was patient and waited for something good even though at times i was tempted to buy some shitty bikes because i was so eager to get back on two wheels. So here is a little pic of the 600rr, im currently about to paint it and might do little mods such as integrated lights and little things like that, already got the parts but idk.. this is a 250 page so up to you lads/ladies if you wanna see some progress shots of it etc

Back to the origins, a friend was selling his mc22 for a decent price. Needs some work but i kinda wanted something to work on just to learn and waste more money i don't have on. So i have been reading alot about peoples projects etc and i thought i might as well make a lil account on here and i guess learn as much as i can. So i got new fairings, chain and sprockets plan to do the forks this week..but im just going to take them off and give them to a shop idk i guess i need to do more research on that anyways i feel like i written so much so here's more pics ahah.

Thanks everyone, so to get things clear mechanically im pretty much a noob but at the end of the day ill rather work on my bikes and learn than give it to some shop. So here are some plans for my bikes!

    600RR
    - My friend works at a panel beating shop for a high end car manufacturer, i don't want to name it so he doesn't get into trouble but he said he can paint my whole bike any color for free!! Planning on painting the bike Matte grey.
    - So it needs just another major service
    - new tires
    - integrated tail lights
    - bigger rear sprocket
    - powder coat rear swing arm
    - led indicators also
At the moment i'm not going for any performance type of mods happy with the power maybe when i get bored of it i'll do something to it.

    MC22
First things i need to do is get a rwc
    - Fix leaking forks
    - new sprockets and chain
    - horn stopped
    - the guy i bought it from said that there's something wrong with the kill switch apparently if you turn it off using it, turns the bike off and wont turn on for a while..idk but got to fix that somehow too.
That above is what i have to do within the next week, however i want to take the whole bike apart, powder coat the frame black and restore it soon after.

An example of a clean mc22 with the same fairings

Welcome to the forum. Where (what suburb) in Melbourne are you? There is a 250 club here that can give you some help with your MC22 and can also organise Club Registration (if you want). If you want to check them out they are on facebook and here as well http://club250.tk/
