Greetings. I have found some time lately to continue my engine overhaul and noticed one thing: the conrod bearings that I've ordered from Webike differ a lot from those that came from the engine. New ones are very tight to put in place but seem to fit eventually. The packaging looks like any genuine Yamaha part. Part number is 1HX-11656-20 and it matches the parts diagram. A Webike packaging mistake, wrong bearings from someone tinkering with my motor or tricky stuff from Yamaha? What do you think?

Doesn't look right to me. Maybe take them to a bearing place?

They are the third size shells, are they the ones you want?
If they came in sealed Yamaha packaging then I doubt that they are incorrect.
Does your motor show any signs of having been apart before?
If it is a new version from Yamaha then I think the part number should be be 1HX-11656-21

Yep, wanted third size, brown color code and right on with the part number info. I looked deeper and it appears that the previous owner machined down all crankshaft rod journals by about 0.5mm and fitted these unknown bearings to compensate. The new parts I have on my hands are legit. I think the case can be closed now! It would be nice to identify the old ones though...

Well done Compey. I wouldn't bother identifying the old ones the Yamaha part will most likely be better quality.
