Slightly off topic how often do you come across a cheap zxr250 in Thailand maelstrom? Are you familiar with exporting bike to Malaysia? Thanks yong
Sorry Yong. That would be almost no idea and no. You can try searching mocyc.com and as for exporting you need to find a trucking company that does Thai-Malaysia. Most bikes here are in a poor state, so you can expect to strip and rebuild. I see more 400's in Thailand than the grey bike 250's.
thanks for the advice. That's actually what I plan to do anyway once I get one. I can't believe those zxr250 still go for about aud 5000 equivalence in malaysia these days. it's unbelievable how much do those 400cc usually go for in Thailand? It will be fun trying to get info from the website Looks like a good project but I don't understand what's the ads about except it's for a 2007 R1 http://www.mocyc.com/market855073/ขายอะไหล่r107 yong
You can use Google translate to help with the web pages. Many greybikes are illegally imported as spares and then assembled. These bikes can never be registered unless the correct tariffs, taxes and fines are paid. The most expensive 400, the VFR400 will cost about 90,000 if it is legal and has a 'green book'. Without the green book it is worth about 30,000. A zxr400 with green book about 50000 and without 20 to 30 thousand. You need to ensure that you can get a bike with no green book out of the country. Maybe just disassemble it and ship it out as a box of spares. cheers Blair
nice one greyimport. I think these are called Tuk Tuk in Thailand Thanks for the info Blair. Appreciate it
.....and tricycles in the Philippines .....and my fat ass was in that very one the other day ..... a Skygo 150cc rocket
Here is a ZXR250 with no registration. Which is what you want. You do not want to pay all the extra for nothing. http://www.mocyc2u.com/7062/-zxr-250-inv-พร้อมจัดส่ง.html and here is one with reg. http://www.sinkardd.com/ad-คาวาซากิ zxr 250 มือสอง.html mmmm maybe all this needs to be in a separate thread.
