Megelli 250r won't start

    Hi,

    I'm currently working on a Megelli 250r that wouldn't start cold.... I found the choke cable to be broken which I have since replaced... Now I still can't start it. it will start with "start ya barstard" and run momentarily until it's all burnt off (pretty much narrowed down to a fuel problem). The carb is definitely getting fuel. Could it be timing? Or a mixture problem?

    Any help would be great thanks

    has it been sitting? the fuel in the carb could be sludge, Or is it an EFI one?

    I don't think so as it was running fine when warmed up

    So I cleaned out the carb... Was a fair bit of crap in there.It's running now but won't run with out choke. Might check timing and valve clearance.

    honda ca77, megelli x2,fzr yamaha x 5 ,maxim,cb750.cb600 hornet,zxr250,marusho magnum electra.
    clean the carb again, change fuel tap to non vacuum operated one and block vacuum line.
