Hi, I just bought a second hand Megelli 250r and I have no experience with this bike before this. It vibrates and rattles when I stop in traffic light. I can clearly hear the engine spinning or something. I figured out that some of the rattling noise was cause by the vibration in the exhaust pipe. I then tied the exhaust pipe to the frame tightly and it solved the noise, but still not the vibration.
The other problem is the acceleration is really slow. In traffic light I cant even match the acceleration of other cars beside me when the light turns green. And the gears switching need to be really quick from first gear all the way to fifth, otherwise the engine will just scream but no acceleration. It feels really odd.
Does anyone know is all this normal or I need to send my bike to service.

Could b the clutch slipping. I think you may need some service advice.

Im with Murdo on the acceleration problem .... slipping clutch

With the vibration .... bit hard to tell without hearing/seeing it
Could be something internally with the motor..... not a good thing.
Firstly though I would make sure all the bolts/nuts on the engine mounts to the frame are there and secure
And also the header pipe (exhaust ) is secure and tight to the motor

yeah, pull out that clutch it sounds fried.

    - and yes, if it a deep "clunk" noise that's consistent, got some bad news for you bro

    - also could pay to check out the ignition lead and coil, as these bikes seem to have consistent problems with the OeM parts. a really weak spark could be snuffing out lots of power.

Don't forget to change the oil & filter at the same time as the new clutch, sounds like there could be some fine metal filings in there with the clutch that bad.
