Hi Guys, I recently picked up mc22 no history and not running. I have stripped carbies and cleaned, they looked ok. Bike has spark and new plugs and new battery, It winds over but no sign of starting. any clues...

    Hey Tok,

Welcome to the forum, how is your petcock ? , they are known to fail if they dry out and will not allow fuel into the carbs . easiest way to rule it out is to use an AUX tank and fill the carbs through the fuel line that runs off the petcock, ie just disconnect the line, and pour fuel down that until it stops taking fuel ( ie overflows from the pipe) , that should allow the bowls to fill.

How are you trying to start it ? it should be full choke and no throttle.

This thread might give you some ideas to look for a non starting mc22 - http://2fiftycc.com/index.php?threads/need-help-mc22-wont-start-track-day-coming-sunday.3874/

    Cheers

oh, and when you say they were cleaned, did you pull the slow jets ? When properly clean you will see a tiny pinprick of light through them. I would say 9 out 10 times with non starting mc22's, this is the problem.
