The Barry Sheene Festival of Speed, promoted by the Post Classic Racing Association of NSW, is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2015. The BSFoS is much more than just a motorcycle race… with the death of Barry in 2003 this meeting was born out of the recognition of not simply Barry’s achievements but moreover his love of motorcycling. It showcases riders from bygone eras and the machines on which they honed their skills – with special Guest for 2015 ‘Fast’ Freddie Spencer . The weekend is a celebration of his life and memory in a way he would appreciate……fun…friendship…and rivalry on the track. In the early days the meeting was simply an open meeting, combining a round of the PCRA Club Championships but with the dropping of these championship races from the event in 2009 the meeting transitioned into an Open International Historic Event with competitors in 2014 travelling from throughout Australia, New Zealand, England and Japan. It is now the most prestigious and significant historic motorcycle race meeting in New South Wales. In addition to racing there is always an array of off track entertainment including Trade and Club Stands, Show & Shine Competition, Spectator Parade Laps and this year the revival of the ever popular Swap Meet. In fact everything the motorcycle enthusiast could wish for in one place. ONLINE 2015 ENTRY TICKETS Tickets are now on sale for the 2015 Barry Sheene Festival of Speed. Yep, were in, that's Dad & a friend (Ross) & me We went last year, great display of bikes on show & great racing on the track. I got a hankering for the sidecars, bloody awesome things. We are booked in for the parade laps on Sunday, can't wait. Dad couldn't ride last year as the bike still wasn't going properly, but she is now. Hope the weather is fine, he's excited, hey me too, a few laps around there will be special.
