The NOS gasket set that arrived for my Kawasaki F2tr had the incorrect base gasket in it, so I decided to make one.
I cut a square of 1.2mm gasket paper and using a small flat faced hammer worked around the bottom of the cylinder liner until I could push the gasket down to the flange where it had to sit.

I then worked around the outside to get the shape of the gasket.

Using a specially made tool, I cut around the bolt holes and ports. F2 bits 012.JPG F2 bits 013.JPG
The finished product was trimmed with scissors and ready for use.

This is the tool. Made from a 100mm length of 6mm bar with a 12mm and 8mm ball bearings silver braised to the ends.
