good day guys(experts) i'm trying to remove the magneto of my 2kr bike,i did remove the cover, the nut in the middle of it,but i don't have this puller to remove this thing,i just use some my tools that i have, the problem is i can't remove it,does it have another lock or anything?or does it needed a lot of force to remove it?or i must have the proper tools to remove it?thanks in advance!!!
I had the same trouble when I was working on my bike. I could get everything off bar the magneto, so I took it down to the local bike mechanic and he got it off for me. Only cost me $5 and did not damage it, as I likely would have
The proper puller is $10-20, depending on where you are. Considering the cost of replacing crank and rotor if you f' it up...
The magneto is on a tapered bush. Almost impossible to get off without the proper puller. I borrowed one from the bike shop when i overhauled my sons 2 stroke bike and I had to get gas onto the bush as well. Nearly busted the tool. It is just like the cutting plate on the lawn mower, they don't want them to come loose.
tnx for the help guys,i would have to get this one with proper tools or with the help of others to pull this one off rather than damaging it,this is i would say the hardest part of the bike to dismantel......ride safe....
