bunnings is the best for toolboxes, and are pretty damn good on Kincrome tool prices. Also check out Masters, they have heaps of specialised stuff and really cheap/good air tool kits by Kobalt... - our 2nd yr apprentice got a 4-piece set for $120 and he uses his Kobalt rattle gun all day without fault... - also, "Repco" tools are bloody awesome if you have the coin because they replace anything you break on the spot in store when it finally breaks, and its up there with "Snap-on" quality. as far as bikes go you barely need a rattle gun.... but its always handy lol. and if you want a killer set of cheap Gear wrenches, once again go to masters hardware.
Only time I have ever used one on bikes is for cartridge forks. Not sure if one is needed for USD forks. But I know standard telescopic forks don't need them.
