The RGV is done & about to do some miles,
Weve installed some new LED indicators but were having issues with the flashing.
A new regulator arrived today & was fitted, the blink delay now is the right speed but all 4 lights are activated at the same time, apparently the dash indicator light is working now too, so some good has come from the new part but not 100% yet.
The old standard blinkers work fine, no wiring has been changed just new LED lights fitted & all the Pos & Neg wires are matched all round.
The new regulator is supposed to be for LED's, it's a solid stste 2 wire unit & appears to be good quality.
Is there an electrical expert out there that knows what's going on ?
This seems to be a universal problem.
I understand that LEDs draw tiny amounts of power but all 4 at once is mad, how can it be !

I just wen through the same thing indicators come on like hazard lights, you may need to hook up individual load resistors 1 per blinker

I've got resistors but I want to understand why the crossover & where the issue lies, there might be a more simple fix to the problem.

In my case, it was a matter of PO soldering in the 2 original rear blinker bulbs at the same time as putting in the new LEDs and one of the bulbs broke. :)

LED's are polarity sensitive so you can try reversing the bias. It may or may not work. LED's also typically run much lower current so with standard flasher units and the higher current you may get current "feedback" into the unit causing all four to flash. I'd be getting some resistors on each indicator to stop that problem.

I did this recently on mine, got my resistors from here:

Mine are fine now. Good luck

I hear you hey, I got the same product from the same place but I got 2 of the 4 packs :) I had to rewire the 4 indicators plus 2 daytime running lights on the NTV a week or so ago. Fortunately I only needed 4 for that as the daytime running lights are led and seem to run fine now that all 4 blinkers are unified LED's.
So good thing about having 4 left over is that if I find the same problem with my cbr project I have 4 more left over for that bike too :)

    All fixed, well sort of.
We removed the dashboard indicator globe & it all works perfectly.
I;ll try a Led in the dash & see how it goes but all good for now
