What have people in the UK done about this? I know you can buy the converter thing, am getting a bit confused by it, been riding round guessing my speed <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->

its no big deal, just act normal and ride within your personal limits, if the law are around, just dont rev the nuts off so as no not attract attention.

    here's a rough guide: 20kmh - 13mph
    40kmh - 25mph
    60kmh - 37mph
    80 - 50
    100 - 62
    120 - 75
    140 - 87
    160 - 100mph
    180 - 112 mph

over here in ireland we just changedour speed limits to kms last year, so the uk might follow in the comin years, i think its a european thing, its ****!! kilometers seem so windy, even 180kmh sounds slow to me ... even though its not!!

wow - I had just assumed that the UK would have led the way with the introduction of metric units! Certainly 2 of the commonwealth countries (canada and australia) have been metric for about 20+ years - I assumed the UK would have been first.

And here I thought it was only the US that wouldn't conform... :p

Yeah, and who wants to drink beer in 0.5 of a litre. bit gay if you ask me. How did your bike get through type approval with a metric speedo??
Best thing to do would be to go down your local wrecker and change the whole clock. You could just change the face but the odometer would still be recording Kms.

some of you must have been living in a hole to think uk were metric? they still have pounds! we have km/h in my country i think m/h sounds slower because its a lower number. its easy to get use to converting it when your riding just takes a while

UK just isn't high on my priority list to learn about. Most of europe was in km's, Canada is, and so is Australia so I just made an assumption.
