    Hey Guys/ Girls,

Im Lewis and im new here. Not going to be anything overly exciting happening here as she is currently my daily driver so anything that happens can only last a weekend before she has to be back together for the Monday commute! I have already started to tinker with her though and im loving being back on a bike after a good few years rest and an obsession with cars! So here she is in all her glory......

    IMG_1979.JPG IMG_1987.JPG IMG_1991.JPG IMG_1993.JPG IMG_1995.JPG

So the plan is next to make myself up a couple sets of dog bones to try and raise the height of the back end as its currently quite low and me being 6ft 3 im feeling rather huge riding it so that and a good service this weekend and shes good for now. Any comments are welcome good or bad!

    Thanks

    Lewis

Mate that looks in great shape ..... especially if your commuting on it every day during the week :thumb_ups:

Has the bodywork been replaced or was it repaired/repainted ?

Thanks guys. She was an impulse buy after going to look at a few bikes (supermotos) and this popped up on gumtree as we were driving about the gold coast, the guy wanted it gone that day as he had seen a crosser he wanted so i went down struck a deal with him and drove it home! Yeah she has been painted, the front fairing has had a good job done, the rest inc tank have alot of orange peel effect going on but is still tidy and presentable. I am planning on wrapping it up. I think the fairings are all original as a couple have been plastic welded on the back but have been done properly, which is always good. She does need a good clean though, anyone recommend some good products?

Something I use on paint work initially that has been neglected is 'clay bar' ( also on my car when I have that much energy)
Run your hand over a section and ususally it will feel 'rough' ....use this stuff then it feels very smooth .... takes off all the crud u cant see.
Any complete detail on paintwork involves this step ... google it

I use this one ... its liquid so easier to use.

Thanks for that GI and Mclaren. Yeah ive clay bar'd a few cars in the past and got really good results but i cant see it getting rid of the orange peel effect or the few minor marks that i have. Will still give it a go see how she comes up.
