    Hi all

I signed up ages ago and have been having a browse occasionally. I thought it was time to finally post an introduction.

I've got a ZXR250A which I'm planning to race in the 'Lites' class down in Tassie. So far I've only made it to one race with a rev-limited and poorly running bike; and then after sorting out the rev-limiter, cleaning the carbs and adjusting valve clearances the motor lasted three laps of a practice round before doing some damage to the bottom end.

I seem to have acquired a lot of spare parts/bikes along the way, and have another motor swapped in, which I now have to sort out other issues with (cam chain). I'll get out there again eventually, and will try to remember to post up some pictures and progress updates along the way.

    Cheers
    Phil

Hey Phil, welcome to the forum, I see the guys at B-spoke Customs ( in Tassie) are developing some race glass for the ZXR250, the C model kit is done, and they said they will make one to suit an A model. What track tyres do you use on the 18" rear end for the track ?

    Hi Chris

I already have fairings organised through B-Spoke and should have them soon, highly recommended. I think the only difference for the A and C race glass is the seat. This bike originally (well, when I originally bought it) had C model road fairings on, so happy to make the C race ones fit. I also have C models in my spares collection so it's possible I might even end up running one of those as my main bike. I've acquired lots of spares, but haven't currently got a thing running properly . On the brightside I will have enough spares to last me for many, many years :D.

I'm using Dunlop Alpha 13s. I can't compare them to much else are they are the first track tyre I've used, and I haven't had a chance to really get out there and push the bike at all yet.
