My indicators don't flash anymore They just stay lit :/

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this problem?

It's an intermittent problem, as it comes and goes at any time whilst riding and using the indicators,

Could be out of blinker fluid.

I thought blinker fluid was shared with the rear brake fluid...

How have your rear brakes been performing? You might start with checking the level (located under the seat).

i had my indicators replaced, and ever since it's been having this problem.

I bought the proper FZR ones from yamaha

My old indicators were smashed, so I had no choice.

Easy. Above 6k rpm the voltage supplied to the bike's electrical system is probably high enough to trigger the relay with the new indicators. You need to figure out if the resistance with the new globes is higher or lower than with the old ones. Me thinks that the new bulbs are lower resistance, so wiring up a resistor in series should sort it out.

PS. I'll explain my logic incase i've got it back to front.
Disconnecting one of the bulbs means they don't flash at all, as the resistance is not high enough to cause the relay to switch on an off and modulate the bulbs. Therefore having a second bulb with too low resistance (ie. new indicators) would not provide enough resistance to get it all hapenning.

Hmm,ive fitted a new set(four)mini indicators and they will not work properly.
Im thinking it's because they have 12v 21w bulbs(the originals are 12v 10w).
Two rears(l+r)will work(if the fronts are disconnected)or two fronts will work,(if the rears are disconnected)but two indicators connected on the same side will not work(they just stay on and the flasher unit makes a clicking sound).
Will one of these resistors solve the problem, and would i need four(one for each indicator)?

my god. why stuff around with relays and wiring and all that crap?

Just go to autobahn / supercheap and buy some different wattage bulbs. 12v 10w seemed to work well for you last time, so I'm guessing those would be a good start...

So no need to replace the blinker fluid Casso?

Yeah, I suppose buying proper bulbs does make sense...

Yea,i did'nt mention that the bulbs that these new indicators use are the orange(for clear lenses)small pointed type bulbs which only appear to be available in 21/23w so its not a simple case of replacing them.Im not trying to make work for myself

As 325sport said, I also having the same problem last week, my mechanic said the globes 12V23W<---that 23W is too high, the factory flashing unit cant support that much, so when you just put a pair of rear or front indicators, they can work well. but if u put 2 on the same side, they cant flash. So now I have bought a pair of new globes that was 12V4W in some automative product shop, coz me AUD$2 only, then the "W" goes down and 4 globes flashing very well.
