If you thinking of buying a new 250 /300, then check out this review from motorcycle.com , its done in American speak, but they give the CBr250R, Ninja 300 and Hyosung a good run through the hills ( canyons).
They bagged out the Hyosung .... but I wonder what 3 new learner riders would say after doing the same test.
Would be totally different outcome....seems to me with some write ups, if it isn't Jap, it ain't good Hyosung have a close relationship with Suzuki and have produced some fine machines. My take, try before you buy as you could be impressed with what you find!!!!
I dropped in to see my mechanic and we were talking bikes, he said the quaity of the Hyo's are questionable and he perfers not to work on them. I had heard rumours that they were getting better...
The early 650's had a problem with second gear breaking, and I have seen one 'drop its playlunch' after being neglected and flogged to death, but like most mechanical things if looked after and serviced properly they are ok.
Im not sure about unfair, I actually think a 300c bike was a stroke of genius by Kawasaki , what it did was widen the 250cc class and offer choice to the punters, must be working as the Ninja 300 is the biggest selling bike in Oz for the first quarter of 2013 , Honda CBR250 sales for the same period have dropped 41% Kawasaki sold 1158 Ninja 300's from Jan to March, whereas Honda sold 428 Cbr250's http://www.fcai.com.au/library/apr13-q1-prcomparison_top_10_report.pdf
