Basically I was going straight and this guy was traveling in the opposite direction and he turn right in front of me to park his car. Luckily I braked but not quite enough, I hit him at about 5 -10 ks. He knew he was in the wrong and willing to pay for my damages. The damage I can see is: scratched brake lever Taht silver case that says yamaha got sratched at the bottom There isn't much damage but waht should I do? I have no insurance, so should I just ask for some money and leave it at that? BTW on the up side when I got back on the bike and rode away I was riding around the albert park race track and scraped my right foot peg and just scraped my left boot. <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s -->
Wow, you really took that well. I take it the bike hit the ground if you got a scratched alternator cover. If yes, go get a quote on getting that little baby immaculate for the damage he did to it. Then get the money off him and do the cheapest possible fix your happy with. Spend the rest of the money on the bike, or yourself... and enjoy.
Why not --- I just got a quote for a new alternator cover from the local YAMAHA dealer part# YAP 2KR 154 11 00 $87, and a new brake lever $15
