holey new bike prices bat man!

    me and the old man went to the bike shop this morning to have a perv
    at new bikes.
    and the sales person said if i had gone in last week i could have rode away on a neww CBR1000RR for 16 grand <!-- s:shock: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_eek.gif" alt=":shock:" title="Shocked" /><!-- s:shock: -->
    he then offerd us 2 triumphs for 13 each

    I was going to ride away on a new cbr1000rr from sunstat about a 6 week's ago for $16000 but thay wonted $4000 a year from me to keep the bike safe and sead thay would only give me $1000 for the fzr <!-- s:-? --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_Eyecrazy.gif" alt=":-?" title="Eye Crazy" /><!-- s:-? -->

    i still think that it does not pay to buy new..

    The only way to buy new is to get the runout model. Usually you save between say $2500 and $5000. If you then sell in the next 2 years with bugger all k's, i've noticed you will generally recover most if not all of your cash, minus servicing, excess k's etc.
