    Hi all,
First time Forumer "Is that even a word"?
So I have a 93' Across which has been garaged for the past five years, was a daily commute to work previously and now is finally back on the road after weeks of stripping her down and rebuilding everything to get her ship shape.
Stupid me parked it and left it with fuel in the carbs and tank, After a complete carby strip down and clean, removing copious amounts of sludge and calcium build up within the fuel bowl, needles, jets, float needles, basically everything.
Put some fresh fuel in, new plugs and battery and "Whoa" she started. After a lot of research online, I made a vacuum carby balancer and balanced it all up pretty good. Adjusted the idle screws in all the way and then 2.5turns out and all seems ok.
Have just noticed a weep from one of the front fork seals and have decided the next project will be to replace the entire seal kit on both forks. Just need to decide wether to go to Suzuki for the parts or try my luck on ebay.
Thanks for the add to the site and look forward to getting to know you all and share 2fiddy stories.
    Cheers

    Hey Gary
Welcome to the forum. Great machine the Across, a little quirky perhaps but that is what makes them special.
Know what you mean about leaving fuel in the carbs, my guess is you wouldn't do that again?
Pyramid parts are ok, be interesting to see the variance in price from your Suzuki dealer and Pyramid, you might get a shock.
Next thing is to post up some photo's of your ride. Keep us posted on your progress with your forks.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. There's something about the across I just can't seem to get enough of. Maybe it's the insane redline or the sound after the bafflectomy was performed. I just can't part with her. It was a better option at the time, to park it rather than sell. And yes Phil, that won't be happening again. I bought it second hand around 15yrs ago with a little over 16000km on the clock, from a guy who was scared off of it after he crashed. Plenty of fairing damage down the right side but otherwise in good condition. I replaced the middle front fairing section with one from the wreckers and just lived with the rest of the damage. I figured, well I can't see it when i'm riding, so who cares. Apparently everyone who sees it does. I don't know how many times I had to explain to people that I didn't drop her and that I bought it like that. Anyway 87000km on the clock later and being a little rough around the edges, she still runs fine, no leaks, good on fuel and fun to ride.
I did change out the rear indicators for LED ones the other week, which looks heaps better than the one original and one smaller after market type which had been fitted since purchase, front ones go on next week.

    Hi All,
How do I get access to the "Across" parts list in the Resources section. I need to get part numbers for the fork seal parts to compare prices with Suzuki
