Hello all, I live in bc, Canada and I'm looking to buy my first bike this year. I will mainly be using the bike to commute to school and work and maybe short road trips on weekends. I've got a few bikes in mind and would appreciate any feedback or if anyone's had any good/bad experiences. I'm thinkin about the Ninja 300, CBR250 or the Suzuki GW250. Again thanks for any feed back and its good to be here :) .

Hello Adam..... :welcome: to the community.

I dont think u can go wrong with any of those choices .... all being long term well established Japanese manufacturers.
The Ninja and CBR are "sports" bikes and the GW a bit more of a "sit up" commuting type.
So I guess the first decision to make is what riding position u prefer.
If its possuble take them all for a test ride.

If it was me buying a new model bike I would jump on the Ninja 300 (+ABS) ..... its an impresive looking machine ..... but thats just my personal opinion as Ive not ridden any of them! :D

    New model lineup...

    Hi Adam
Welcome to the forum, nice to have another Canadian on board. So you are about to purchase a new motorcycle, your choices so far impress me! All the bikes mentioned are very fine machines, I have sadly only ridden one being the CBR250 Honda. This bike left me with a wonderful memory, it performed so well:thumb_ups:
Have spoken to Ninja 300 owners, nothing but praise for this latest entrant. Last week I spoke to a fellow who had just purchased a new Suzuki Inazuma 250, this bike is new to Australia and powered by a 250cc twin, fuel injected engine.
He had a smile that wouldn't go away, nice looking bike and well equipped.
Go and test ride all of them, not just around the corner but hit the highway so as to get the feeling for each bike, am certain one will be just what your looking for. Look forward to hearing which one catches your fancy.
    Again, :welcome: on board Phil

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, Im actually hospitalized at the moment, just lookin around online at these bikes. From what I've read it sounds like the kawwy is the most performance oriented machine. When I get out of here I'm definitely going to test ride all of them. I do want to be different from most of the riders around here so I'm kind of leaning away from the Ninja but if its performance really sweeps me off my feet I'll buy it. I really like the looks of the Honda but have heard its a little gutless....any comment on that? As for the Suzuki, I love the "naked" look but is the wind resistance really a big deal for a 135lb rider? Also; is there a 250cc Triumph Bonneville?

The day I took the Honda for a test ride, I had a pre conseved idea that this new bike would disappoint me no end!!
Single cylinder, what was Honda thinking??? How wrong was I, the bike surpassed all my expectations and some!
Is it on par with the Ninja 300, no it is not but having said that it deserves applause for delivering a good fuel efficient motorcycle with good looks, excellent riding posture and performs really well.:thumb_ups:
    Certainly worth a look.

Anyone know if you can pick up a 2013 cbr250 with the Repsol treatment?

Nice. If you ask me, worth every penny of that extra few hundred they charge. Always loved the colour scheme.
