    :welcome: to the community.....

    Good looking machine :thumb_ups:

As mentioned on the FZR forum give the EXUP an overhaul .... also do all the simple stuff like plugs and caps, air and fuel filter, but a carby clean and balance is probably inevitable.

    Is it idling properly?

    I fitted Bridgestone Battlax BT45s

    Front BT45F 100/80H17
    Rear BT45R 140/70H17

I cant comment on them though as the bike has only been round the block a few times!

Ask for new valve stems when u get your tyres fitted ... only a couple of bucks or maybe free.

Exup seems ok but as you said mate I still have to do all the usual like plugs service and get the carbs off and clean them!
seems to be mixed opinions on running 140s on the rear
looks good but may affect handling?

Yea definately cant comment on that side of things .... Ive ridden around the block on the old tyre , which was crazed and hard as a rock and also a 140 from memory ..... actually my total experience riding a Fizzer is a few trips around the block!
I think the tyre on the spares bike was a 150? .... thats probably pushing it .. I know the chain guard was hacked away to stop it rubbing :lolsign:

    Hey fzrfixer
Welcome to the forum, nice choice of Bike. Looks to be in reasonable condition, you have the right frame of mind, don't expect miracles from our bikes for they are of a certain vintage. The challenge is to bring them back to their former glory, 4 cylinders reving to 18k, you can't buy that anymore! Good luck and as always ENJOY THE RIDE

Fit tyre sizes based on the type of riding you do.
If you want it to be best for sports riding then keep the 100 front and fit a 130 rear.
If it is a commuter/tourer bike then a 140 rear will be more suitable and you may also wish to fit a 110 front.
