Riding home yesterday the sky decided to open up on me.

later on i realised that my headlights had stopped working, i think that the water has something to do with it.

I checked the fuses and they are intact
    Warning lights still work
Brake light still works for both brakes
    Indicators and horn work
Bike has no problem starting, the battery is relatively new

Also since i rode home and it was dark, i used the pass switch, which enabled the high beams, but half way home that stopped working too

    what could it be?

The best I can offer is that you check the 12v power with a multimeter from the light fuse, thru all the connectors and Hi/lo switch.

Not sure if power for the lights goes thru the kill switch or start button as in the FZR400..

If your horn still works you have probably burnt out the Pass switch as power goes from horn circuit to the Pass switch.

    Thanks for the reply.

Found an auto electrician that looks at bikes.

The problem was a burnt out cable, so they just ran a new one

Also you are right, i burnt out the pass switch, didn't bother fixing that as i was in a hurry to get on a cruise.
