Have no oil seal

    HI guys i pulled of warterpump today to try and get the snaped bolt out and notest I only have a mechanical seal no oil seal. I have gone threw all the part numbers and carnt find water pump oil seal PN can anyone help me find pn thanks seems all i do is ask for help.thank`s Ken

    omg lol, i was just about to post this same problem. Ironically i have the same fairings as kds1 lol. thought maybe someone had stolen my identity! :D

    Whent to local pump shop with mechanical seal got one to fit no luck with oil seal but can give the size it is od 28/ isd 10/w 5 mm if you have any luck let me know. Allso only $17 for mehcanical seal going to try for a ballius oil seal hope it helps ps the out side casing of the mehcanical seal is glued in to water pump and oil seal is under it.

    Thanks guys but i need new water pump now. I filled up radiator after putting it back together checked for leaks coolent was coming out of the wheep hole sharft seals are gone as well.
    I heard that you carnt rebuild the pump seals
    i did find some shaft o rings on the page you found but we will see
    if you know anybody with zxr waterpump for sale let me no
    in meantime ill get the sharft orings to try and rebuild mine.

    have orderd the pump body at my kawasaki dealer today he said thay whould have to order it from japan but it comes up on the invoice so japan should have one thay will let me know tomorrow if thay have it in stock fingers crossed

    No grey but traded in the first born.
    if thay have one $100 for pump body and seals and gaskets so one kid and $100 its a win win

    So how did you end up getting the casing out without ruining it? or were you able to find a replacement part.

    got the casing out by lifting the edge with a butter knife dont use flathead screwdriver you will damage pumpbody. once the edge is lifted put pumpbody in a vice use two pairs of longnose pliers side byside on the inside shaft see pics and pull and move around shaft and repeat till it releases.
    you carnt avoid damaging mechanical seal and will have to replace. mechanical seal pn is (49063-1055) $33
    oil seal pn is (92049-1336) $9
    any kawasaki dealer will be able to get them if you need more part numbers type megazip zxr250 in google and translate to english good luck you might find easyer way. mechanical seal.jpg
