I wish they would make these bloody forums easier to use. I keep prodding around trying to post stuff.
Got a bit of a problem with my gixxer, it's suffering from fuel starvation all of a sudden, everything is good until I hit 14000+ rpm then after about 5 miles it starts to cut out. Drop the revs right off then it begins to pick up again (eventually) vacuum tap seems to be ok, thinking that it maybe float heights? If anyone has had the same problem, I'd appreciate your input

Well it is emptying the float bowls faster then it is filling them up. It could be any number of things. Float heights are a possibility or fuel flow rate at high revs, from experience it only takes one little restriction to make that happen. In my case on my zxr it was the fuel filter wasn't high flowing enough, so I replaced that and now I could do 100mph until the tank runs out of fuel.

I would check all vacuum and fuel lines also your tank breather before getting into the carbs, as it might be a simple fix.

I feel your pain as I have spent time on the side of the hwy re priming carbs lol. Good luck

Is it me or is this forum a pain in the arse to use?
Fuel problem sorted, thanks for the input. Previous owner had reassembled the fuel tap the wrong way round!!!

    Hey Simon?
I see you're ebaying some of your spares.. Have you got the main fuse box ( one that sits behind the fairing on the right hand side) and any mirrors?
    Cheers guys
