Normally sunny and warm here, so plenty of time to ride. I've got 5 in the stable at the moment, with #6 due in May. A late starter into the motorcycle addiction, but it's obviously taken hold. One day I'll have to take a family photo. It's mostly a Honda house, but I couldn't pass up the deal I got on the DRZ. Here's what brings me here.

Nice one mate, MC22 is a great bike , how do you go for parts in Texas ? I assume the CBR250RR would be quite rare in the US ?

CMSNL for bits that I can't find domestically, some Australian wreckers will work with me for the rest. Going to EBC for rotors if reseating these doesn't cure them. Haven't seen much posted on the more mc22 specific forum (not naming names, don't know the rules here...) that I'd be interested in yet, but I'm sure something will crop up at some point.

Welcome mate, if you need anything there's quite a few people around here who have boxes of bits (some have warehouses of bits lol).

Postage Aus -> USA is nowhere near as painful as USA -> Aus!!

And the exchange rate currently is not too bad either.

There are some big differences with postage USA to AUS. I recently looked at a $9.00 item (brake lever perch), with $65.00 postage. Bloody kidding they are.

    Hi Mr BeefSalad,
I think most of the world's 250's are in Aus, at least outside of Japan, so lots of second hand parts and information available. @kiffsta usually has quite a stock of 2nd hand parts if you need some. The members on this forum are a helpful bunch too.

The postage from the US just depends on the vendor. If they use i-Parcel or similar then good rates are available. I live in Thailand and a lot of US companies just won't ship to me, so I have to get one of my friends in the US to help me out.
    cheers
    Blair

Awesome@ Unfortunately this bike was bought through the eyes of a buddy. Even then you can only see what you can see. Had he torn into it as far as I have, he would have been more leery calling it good to go. From trashed swingarm bearings to a broken airbox, I feel like I was flogged! That does bring up something I am in need of, and they don't come up often. The bits of the airbox, mainly the plate that attached to the carbs. It's a 96, so I'm also interested in unrestricted parts (for the right price.)

Yeah the bulk are in AUS/JP. Very few in the US. I joined up to cbr250.com to find the bike, and lurk on the ozcbr forum as well. Joined up here when I saw Kiffsta may be offing some of those oh so precious unrestricted bits lol.

p.s. I recently ordered the carb rebuild kit from litetek!
