    Hi Guys, hows it goin?

Just a quick question, I have a fairly noticable gearbox related rattle, it quietens down quite a bit when you pull the clutch in, do you think this is more likely to be a stuffed clutch, or gearbox bearings??

    Thanks all!

Also my cam chain is a bit noisy, I'm thinking the tensioner may be screwed, should I just replace the tensioner, or will I most likely have to replace the chain too??

    Thanks again!!!

Dont worry too much just yet-

The cam chain- The trick I used to use was to get her warm, get it into top gear (ride slowly in a carpark changing up) stop the motor. Clutch out, keeping her in gear push her forward a couple of metres. Usually did the trick (adjusts the auto chain adjuster) I would think it would work on the fizzers.

Clutch rattle- a lot of bikes i know have a bit of a rattle to no detriment. I dont think it is anything to be too concerned about. Just enjoy your bike.

The gearboxes do rattle when they idling in neutral with the clutch engaged. Half he gears are spinning and unloaded so they bounce around with any play in the mesh. I would be more concerned if it's really noisey when you are riding it.

    Thanks guys,

It Isnt an issue when riding, mostly just noisy when stationary, I didn't really want to pull the box apart, but I thought if it was an issue I best fix it now before it dies.

I can hear the cam chain a bit when I back off sometimes, but its not really loud or anything, I will try that cam chain trick and see how it goes.

    Cheers,
    Rosco.
