    Hi Guys!

Been driving a car for nearly 30 years so I thought I'd get my bike license :)

Had this bike for a while slowly restoring it. It's taken a LOT of effort to get it to this condition & she's still a work in progress. I use it for my daily when it's not raining. Rocking a 15T front sprock so commuting is nice & quiet (sitting at around 8000rpm@100k's).

I'm an old bastard so it was only fitting I ride an old school bike.

    Here's my Kawa Zx2r 250cc 1988 model.

Welcome to the forum. Lots of old farts here, and a few of us have ZXR250's too, so you should feel at home. In my opinion, the ZXR250A has the best engine of all the ZXR's.

    Cheers !

Thanks! They are becoming a rare sight around Melb as well ! Is that your Check ride ? (prob different in SA)

    Thanks!
    Thanks!

Makes me feel a lot better :D Can't say that I've got a lot of experience with the engines, but from what I've seen so far it's a real ripper! No problems lugging my 93kg carcass along the freeway at 100k's & overtaking is a simple drop a gear or two & give it a squirt.

I see a lot of people complaining about not enough power for freeway riding & overtaking with the 250cc engine, I find that hard to believe.
    Thanks man!

Ha Ha, awesome to hear !

    Cheers !

    Thanks !
    Thanks !

Nah we don't have a check ride here, once you do the RiderSafe course and pay Motor Reg Dept for your L's you are free to go and ride (Lams approved bike's, 100km/h speed limited)
Next thing is the Advanced course to get your R-Date (Restricted P's) but seeing as i'm over 25 and hold a full car license (minimum 3 year's) i don't have to display P's :thumb_ups:
After my R-Date (1 year) is up i can apply for an R (unrestriced) license
