ok everyone i am going to look at selling my bike and was wondering what sort of price would be fair due to its age none of this crazy over inflated stuff you see all over the place It is a 1989 and all the fairings are in pretty good condition apart from minor scratches the km say i has 35000 but a new engine in it and it has done 3039 ks (i have documentation for that). colour is black with yellow wheels/lights/mirrors will have road worthy and rego with it the reason i put new engine in it is i lent it to my brother whil in the US for 2 yrs and something went wrong with it not sure really and he took off the air intake and carbie and left it out side under a cover and it got full of water which i noticed after i took it apart. (engine was probably getting tired anyway) not sure what else you would like to know about it will get pictures asap
i got $3000 recently for my '88 2kr - was in very good condition. Could probably have done better but for a little urgency in the sale. Depending on where you are and whether the bike runs well I would put low 3k on it and just deal with the inevitable lower offers which will come....
does this mean you worked out the starting issue with it? (see viewtopic.php?t=1580 ) ~3000 sounds like a reasonable place to start. I sold mine for less, but it was a 2kr, had a few cracks in fairing and also double the kilometers (on the original engine).
