My Question is do 91 mdl 3LN3's use a fuel pump? if so does anyone out there have or know where i can get hold of one?! my bike has been apart for 2 years and i'm currantly re building it but my mechenic says i'm missing the pump! I didn't know they used one!! Also i was wondering if it's possible to run uni filters on the carbies instead of using the air box and filter, i don't run fairings if that makes any differance! Streetfighter all the way!!! Any info would be much apreciated! RIDE ON! [/quote]

Yes it uses a fuel pump. Best place to find them for an fzr would be a wreckers (I am not sure if there are any other bikes that share this part, or if a generic fuel pump could work - someone else may be able to help).

Not sure about the air filter though I think some other people have used unifilters...

yeah i just called vic motorcycle wreckers and can get a pump for $125.
The main worry i have with the filter idea is weather or not i'd have to re-jet the carbies, people i've spoken to about it say i would have to but my mechenic seems to think it'd be fine ! Does anyone out there have any suggestions!?

Thanks for your input BOZ cross ya fingers for me!!

You would need to consider re-jetting your carbies if the filter greatly increased the flow of air into them, however I am not sure if the unifilter would alter this mixture enough. So that is probably why some are saying you need to, others are saying not to worry. I know an aftermarket can (whcih increases the flow through) requires re-jetting, but not sure about the front-end. So no help from me...

Out of curiosity - why are you considering the unifilter? Is it to gain more power, or another reason? There won't be a considerable power gain, so if that is the goal is it really worth it?
