Fuel pump and filter question?

I had a similar problem with mine when I first bought it. At odd times it would not accelerate or start to even slow down when below 7000rpm I thought it was running rich and flooding. But I found the EXUP cables were missing and it was wired fully open. I fited a new set of cables and it was like riding a different bike (Probably a Honda <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s --> ). Now it does not have much torque below 3500rpm which is normal for these bikes, and above that it accelerates smoothly.
